the book of life: 花鳥風月
flower, butterfly, breeze, the moon
passing
shimmering, fading
the intensity of heat--
summer's final cry
as autumn raises her head;
the whisper of cool breeze.
the year without an autumn
May days tumbling past--
but all the leaves remain green.
Why such reluctance?
oh Autumn, fading season
why hide away your sweet face?
rainfall
my heart ill at ease
with the autumn rain falling
at strange intervals.
my discomfort made greater
with every sudden downpour.
june solstice 24
winter, white season
snow and ashes, hidden hearts;
a flame burns soulwards
the darkest night of the year
shows the fire blazing in me
rainbow lorikeets
in flowering trees
by daylight, there are rainbows
cheerful and noisy
by stars, their contagious joy
goes on long into the night.
dusk longing
inexpressible
the colours of the sunset;
how they break my heart!
I will never have the words
for that beauteous sorrow.
fairy penguins
darling little things
tinted blue like ocean storms
saltwater sweethearts
they dance through the windy waves
and they take my heart with them
月を眺める (Moongazing)
beneath the cloudsilk
he waits, fading and blooming
blue sky but a mask:
sempiternal and fleeting,
companion to broken hearts;
whole and falling to ruins.
a dance so constant, missteps.
he hides and weeps with us all
shines only to die, softly.
